Appointment of the New TSEZ Management Board
The General Authority of the Tripoli Special Economic Zone held its first Board meeting in Tripoli, chaired by Mr. Hassan Dannawi and attended by all board members.
The meeting included introductions, a review of the Zone's financial situation, and discussion of past challenges and future solutions. The Board confirmed the availability of political and private sector support to help reactivate pending projects.
Plans are underway to secure funding for key consultancy projects, including preparation for the tender of a logistics center near Tripoli Port, expected next year.
The Special Economic Zone is projected to create around 3,000 direct jobs and support economic growth in Tripoli. The Board stressed the importance of coordination with Tripoli Port, the Rashid Karami International Fair, and local municipalities to maximize impact.
